The "MiniBlaster" has a much higher infra-red output level and can operate a number of components in close proximity, say from the inside of a cabinet. This eliminates the need for stick-on emitters and many devices work fine on this 'IR flood' principle. Although on the same frequency as MySky set-top boxes, the Active flasher module (with stick-on emitters) is a better choice for such applications because a more 'measured' IR signal strength is preferred.
